Right now, as i'm typing this entry..Singapore is doing a complete mauling of Laos in the ASEAN Football Championship...it's 7-0 to the Lions and there's still about 20 minutes left....Go Singapore! haha
And from one match to another, Newcastle united managed to leave White Hart Lane with ALL 3 points in the bag which is highly surprising since Tottenham Hotspurs was the favourite to win this match... i would be contented with a draw since newcastle squad are totally depleted thru injuries...but we WON!!! haha...completely delighted with the team...Hey! it's Goal no 8 for Singapore now... anyways back to the Spurs-Newc match...it was a totally INSANE match i tell you...and i'm not happy with some of the actions of the Spurs players...(S'pore just scored its 9th goal!)...Firstly, Defoe's goal should have been offside. Secondly Berbatov should have been cautioned for his antics towards newcastle's keeper, Shay Given. Seriously, i think all newcastle fanswho were watching that match were super irritated and angry by his actions lah! He stuck his foot and block my keeper from taking his kicks! TWICE! To Spurs' fans or neutral viewers, this might be funny but to Newc's fans it is sooooo not funny! And thirdly, Chimbonda should have been sent off for slapping newcastle's Nicky Butt on the face! I mean WHAT WAS HE THINKING????? You don't do that kinda stuff in football! Lucky for him the ref did not see what he did or else he could be in for an early shower...(it's goal no 10 for S'pore...i'm starting to feel sympathy for Laos)... so anyways, that slapped in the face was like some sort of motivation for newcastle...it really fired us up and we came back from a goal down to win the match 3-2...haha...yup...that's my NEWCASTLE... :-)
P.S...It's goal no 11 now and the match just ended... The ah peks and pak ciks at the coffeeshop have gone mad...shouting and cheering like crazy for singapore...haha...what can i say...football just brings out the patriotism in people... :-)
